The problem
A new iOS 14 privacy update made customer insights and tracking extremely hard to come by — and subsequently, made every product harder to sell.

Kicking off creative testing:
Without the normal insights from each platform, our team decided to create a ton of ads in all different formats — UGC, video ads, testimonials, carousels, and more — so we could test as many styles as possible to find what resonated with each audience (and quickly).
Tapping into lesser-known strategies:
We implemented a highly-effective tactic known as whitelisting to provide a near-instant 10% lift in volume.
Leveraging learnings:
Once we knew what worked (and what didn’t) for our customer, we immediately started testing offers and custom landing pages to continue our upward momentum.
Tapping into TikTok:
Because we felt the brand was a perfect fit for its audience, we began reallocating spend and creative efforts from Meta to TikTok. It was a huge win for the brand — we saw wins right away and have been growing MUD\WTR’s presence there ever since.
